BIO
Diane Malloy is an artist from the Bronx, NY, who merges the beauty of contemporary notes with the spirituality of Gospel messages to advocate for personal freedom through relationship with God. Raised mainly by her grandmother and aunt, the young voice was heavily encouraged in kindergarten by an exceptional teacher who perceived the brilliance in Malloy before anyone else did. Influenced by the likes of Lauryn Hill, Brandy, CeCe Winans, and Lisa McClendon, it is more than noticeable where the affinity for contemporary music mixed with Gospel derives from.
In 2021, Diane would take the leap into releasing music as a way to honor her late brother Darryl. His sudden departure in 2019 came just days before her birthday, so she intentionally chose it as a way to positively claim back the date. After positive reception of her first official single, Please Don’t Go, and sophomore offering, Dear God, Diane returns with her latest track "Transitions"
(available now on all digital platforms).
